Goodbye my Good Friend Indra

Created by Alagaratnam 2 years ago

It is with heavy heart, I am penning these few lines. Indran & I enjoyed very long years of friendship. We became friends as classmates, in Form 1 at Premier Institution St John's College, Jaffna. Our friendship started as classmates and later we became inseparable friends, up until now, and he has left us to join the Good Lord in Heaven. May his soul rest in peace with the Lord. I would like to mention some memorable events, during this period.

My daughter qualified in the Accountancy field and was staying at home without a job. During one of his visits to Sri Lanka, he asked me what my daughter was doing. I told him all about her and at once he told me that he will find an opening for her. He had a friend who was well off in the field of Higher Studies. Indran found a Higher Studies Program in the UK and got the necessary admissions and Visa etc... She did not have any difficulty in coming to the UK because of his assistance and goodwill.

Here, what I am trying to say is, if it were not for Indran, my daughter would not have had the opportunity to come to England. With Indran's good intention, a marriage was fixed for her. We came to the UK for the wedding. During our stay in England, Indran and Malar's help could not be described in mere words. The most memorable event was the boat ride on the Thames River. We had to visit the UK twice after her wedding, for the birth of our grandchildren. Indran and Malar both, stood by us every time, when we needed their help.

The long years of friendship has ended with the passing of my friend, Indran. Though the friendship had come to an end, we cannot forget Malar and Munohari. We will continue to have our friendship forever.

Goodbye my sweet Prince, until we meet in the shores of Heaven.

Your Loving friend,

Alagar & Rani
